Responsive Web Design & User Experience (UX)

Responsive Web Design & User Experience (UX)

The word “Responsive” has a literal meaning of giving response to something promptly. Likewise, Responsive Web Design creates a wonderful appeal for users to attract the dynamic website and increase online traffic that ultimately reaches to lead conversion. In today’s technological era, there is an increase in the demand of responsive websites which is viewable on any platform. The success of any website depends upon the content that fits best in every device such as Laptop, Desktop, Mobile, Tablet etc.

The mobile responsiveness provides ease and comfort for creating a Mobile App UI design by making it simply responsive to various devices. It means that the same URL can work exactly in the same way in all browser versions on desktop and mobile as well as on Tablets. As the internet is getting faster, the use of smartphones is increasing at a much swifter pace. The single benefit of having a responsive design is that a website completely fits in the mobile viewport on both vertical and horizontal dimensions. Responsive web design reflects the same code in all devices. This criteria improves the performance of a website.

The User Experience is defined as a positive interaction of users with a website. It provides easy navigational design and proper website structure for users. It must take less time for users to navigate the top header and footer links of websites with more internal link navigation.

The Following are the key points for Responsive Design with better User Experience (UX):

  • Front End UI Designing
  • A/B Testing
  • Flat Web Designing

Front End UI Designing:

It is the crucial element of any desktop and mobile responsive website. It needs to fulfill all requirements of front end design by making it more dynamic and engaging for users. It is also referred as User Interface Designing which means to cater all layers of user interface design with a matching combination of html, CSS and Java Scripting. These three are the core elements of front end designing.

The Html (Hypertext Markup Language) is the base language of the internet. It is an essential tool in design and development for both static and dynamic websites. Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) gives colorful styles, alignments and enhances the beauty website to make it more dynamic and appealing. Java Scripting is the scripting language providing the client side as well as server side programming for the web.

A/B Testing Design

A/B Testing, also termed as Split Testing, is a crucial element of user experience (UX) Design Web Sites. It splits up a website into two different versions such as A and B. It checks the metrics for conversion by making changes on different elements of the website, such as navigational buttons, landing pages, contact forms and call to action.

In Responsive Design, it compares both the desktop and mobile responsive versions to make refinements on the latter version for better usability and smoother user experience.

Flat Responsive Web Designing

Flat Responsive Web Designing is the latest prevailing trend for a simplified and unified single page parallax scrolling design website. This leads to a much better user experience of customers. It gives a simple and original look to the website with much heavy flash scripting.

It is easier and faster to load on any browser with quick mobile responsiveness with better website conversions. Flat Designs websites are in much demand these days because of easy navigation structure and three clicks page load for users. The Parallax Scrolling has diminished the idea of next page scroll by simply having a single page design.

These were a few key features of a responsive website, but there are many more that weren’t included here. If you have any other suggestions, please share with us.
