  • Thank you! this is very helpful information

  • I had no idea there were so many alternatives to WordPress. My own exposure has been limited to Drupal, Joomla, and of course, WordPress. Thank you for the list – I’m looking at them in tabs right now ;)

  • All very interesting. I keep three cms’s in my arsenal:
Wordpress – for blog / image heavy stuff
Drupal – custom content / commerce stuff
Perch (grabaperch.com) – for simple stuff / where performance is key

  • Nice round up stacy!

  • Very useful alternatives provided. This sources are equally good as wordpress. Thanks for sharing this here with us.

  • Thanks for the #2 spot! Though I should correct that Agility is cloud-based, not open source

It is worth adding Centralpoint by Oxcyon to the list of WordPress alternative. Why, because Centralpoint is well known for its rich out the box 230 modules and easy to use interface. The interface is as friendly as Microsoft Office. You can compare modules to SharePoint add ons. You don’t have to spend a tone of money or learn about third party add ons to start off your projects. Centralpoint is just an all around one stop CMS experience.

A lot of these content management systems are not well known and trusted. Centralpoint is rate one of the top 10 content management systems. Check out Centralpoint competitors page and learn more http://www.oxcyon.com/Main/oxcyon-competitors.aspx

  • You have connected with the live websites and this is useful to know better but still is there any demo url available with this? because only some cms like joomla n drupal are familiar to me.
