In this post I will be featuring the Green Lantern as the eighth installment of my comic book inspired artwork. The Green Lantern is made up of an alliance of troopers known as the Green Lantern Corps; all with one goal in mind – to keep peace and order in the intergalactic world. Each Green Lantern wears a ring that is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. In this post you will see some really detailed designs of the Green Lantern from various talented artists. The use of showreels is one of the best ways for a motion graphic designer to show off their portfolios. Once these talented artists set static elements into motion and add funky music, they can accomplish visually stunning animations and special effects that will leave you drooling for more. When viewing these amazing creations, it makes you feel like you are actually traveling through the artist’s portfolio and all their works. In this post I would like to introduce a new topic on photography. Its surprising that I have never made a post on photography considering that photographs are used in everyday design such as campaign ads, posters, magazine covers and photo compositions just to name a few. While doing research on CG Girls in the last couple of months I came across a character called “Pepper”. I became intrigued by this indescribable girl in red and decided to investigate further. In no time did I realize that there was a huge fan following and lots of great Pepper artwork out there. Pepper was created by Artgerm AKA Stanley Lau so he could experiment his various design techniques. He quickly become aware that in the process of creating these works Pepper had gained lots of fans who decided to design their own unique Pepper artwork.
The Pepper Project was born!
A place where all fans and artists alike can create their own Pepper masterpieces and submit them to The Pepper Project for a chance to be featured in The Pepper Project art book. For more info on The Pepper Project click here.
In this post I have compiled an amazing collection of Pepper inspired artwork from some very talented artists from around the globe. Without further ado here is Pepper in the flesh part 2. Hope you enjoy!

With the Captain America movie coming in 2011, it is only fitting that I post the seventh installment of comic book inspired artwork about Captain America . It’s promising to be a huge hit with a stellar cast such as Chris Evans playing Steve Rogers / Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones just to name a few stars. I am sure that everybody out there is familiar with the BMW motor company. In 1975 the “BMW Art Car” Project was launched by Hervé Poulain. The purpose of this project was to invite renowned artists from throughout the world to use the BMW car as their personal canvas. In June 2010 the latest of this series of cars was unveiled just before it races in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. So far there are 17 cars that have been specially designed in this series, the latest artist being Jeff Koons. Hope you enjoy!

In this post I will be featuring The Incredible Hulk as the sixth instalment of my comic book inspired artwork. At the time I got into the Hulk because of the popularized TV series titled ”The Incredible Hulk” that aired from 1978 – 1982 starring Lou Ferrigno as The Incredible Hulk himself and Bill Bixby as DR. Robert Bruce Banner. As The Hulk, DR. Banner transforms into this raging green giant under extreme emotional stress. Last week while I was on the behance.net website, I stumbled upon some cool photographs/sketches by this artist called Ben Heine. He actually calls these beautiful works Pencil VS Camera!. I found them to be so interesting that I wanted to share them with all of you. Although there are only 19 in his collection so far, they are definitely worth showcasing. When doing my research on 404 error pages, I was surprised to see that three quarters of the websites I visited did not have custom 404 error pages. These pages are designed to tell the end user that he or she is lost or has come across a page that no longer exists and thus guides them back to the homepage of the website that they were viewing. Without this 404 error page your viewer may stumble upon the default browser 404 error page and you run the risk of them leaving your website all together. So if you do not have an 404 error page on your website, what are you waiting for? Check out these brilliant designs for some great ideas!

About a month ago I wrote a post that showcased some really talented artists’ designs and their tribute to the Adidas brand. In today’s post I am featuring some really cool Nike designs. Although Adidas is my preferred brand, I still think that it is important to showcase these beautiful Nike inspired designs which are equally as impressive. It’s not so much about the brand itself…but how each brand can inspire designers to create beautiful and compelling artwork for their respective brands. I hope you enjoy!
